Our Philosophy

At The Learning Place Academy, your child will have an educational, safe and fun experience. Our goal is to provide affordable childcare in an environment which enables your child to grow and develop at their individual rate of learning. We strive to create a family atmosphere as close to the home as possible.

Your child’s welfare is our main concern! We pride ourselves on being sensitive to a family’s unique needs and have made it our priority to be available to any parent with questions, concerns or special requests. After all, we are here to support you and your children. We offer children the respect and learning opportunities they deserve.

Our classrooms are designed to provide educational experiences that target the age and stage of your child’s development. Weekly themes are incorporated into the daily schedule and curriculum planning. While introducing various topics children explore by hands-on experience within the classroom Centers and Circle Time.

The learning opportunities for young children are endless. It may seem as though they are just “playing”, but in reality they are developing and polishing many skills needed for more formal education.

Learning Place Academyencourages children to develop a strong positive attitude and self-esteem. By enabling children and providing age-appropriate learning opportunities, our environment allows children the freedom needed to move throughout the classroom and focus on areas of interest. Centers provide manipulatives that challenge their abilities and previous learned knowledge. Throughout the year we observe children organizing and making connections.

The basic fundamentals of learning are incorporated into all lessons. These basics include fine and gross motor movement, cognitive development, social, emotional, and language skills. Our observations clearly indicate that children absorb information, process and organize this information and then have a unique ability to convey their learning back to us in a way that makes sense to them.
